On Friday 2nd November 24 Key Stage 2 children attended the annual Fenland Cross Country event at Alderman Jacobs School in Whittlesey. The children were very excited about representing the school and were filled with excitement, nerves and huge enthusiasm on the morning of the event! Every child made it round the courses, there were some brilliant examples of determination and self-belief. It was wonderful to see the children support and work as a team cheering on each other and as the children ran past us all cheering them on their faces lit up and this appeared to spur them on and give them a final boost to finish the race. Everyone pushed themselves to achieve their best and they should all be extremely proud of their performances on the day.
A very special congratulations goes out to some medal winners; Archie for an absolutely outstanding performance and coming in 1st in the Year 5 boys race, Kai who fought extremely hard to come in 3rd in the year 4 boys race and the year 4 girls and boys who came 3rd overall in the competition.
We can't wait for the event again next year!
