Mr Harvey's Spelling Group

We are looking this week at changing a noun to an adjective by adding 'able' or 'ible' to a stem word. If the stem word is a complete word we normally add 'able'. There are exceptions!

Considerable, possible, adorable, reasonable, credible, visible, horrible, compatible, dependable, understandable, edible, terrible, respectable, sensible, forcible.

As part of the Year 6 Science topic on Evolution, we shall be looking at how characterisitics are inherited and passed down through generations.

To help with this, please could you send in some photographs of your child and yourselves at different ages so that we can look and see which of the parental characterisitcs have been passed on to the children.

Many thanks,

The Year 6 Team and Mr Rix.

Happy New Year.
