School Development Plan

Each year we decide upon the key areas for improvement across the school and write a lengthy document known as the School Development Plan (SDP).  The staffing team then work together to complete the actions.  Please find below a summary of the 2023-24 priorities that we have agreed together to work on, based on the headings from the Ofsted framework 2023:

1. Leadership and Management

We will be settling new staff into their roles and developing a governing body.

 

2. Quality of Education

We will be focusing our attention to English, special needs and maths.

 

3. Behaviour and Attitudes

We want to improve attendance figures, reduce suspensions and look at ways to monitor behaviour even more closely than we already do.

 

4. Personal Development

We will continue to update our PSHE curriculum so that it reflects the current needs of our children.  We will also be developing our new early help support offer for children and families.

 

5. Early Years

The Early Years team will be developing their language and communication offer to children and embed the newly updated maths curriculum. The outdoor area will also be improved upon.
